Our slogan at Mooipoort is “It all begins with an Idea of Golf.”
This phrase captures the very vision of Ds. Japie Jacobs, who visualized and designed our course in 1987, shaping its character and spirit from that original idea.
Mooipoort is situated next to the R573, about 8km from the N1 Dr. Sefako Makgatho off-ramp (Previously Zambezi Drive)
The golf course first opened around 1987 and was sold in March 2007; since that time numerous upgrades and improvements have been made to enhance playability and facilities.
It’s a 3,091 m par-60 course featuring a challenging layout: five par‑4s and the remaining holes all par‑3s. The compact design demands accuracy and strategic shot‑making, with tight fairways, well-placed hazards and varied green complexes that reward thoughtful club selection and short-game precision. Ideal for players who enjoy a brisk round that still tests all facets of their game.
